Yet, she is guilty of the very same tactic—punishing municipalities that do not comply with the MBTA Communities Act by withholding grants. “The Governor’s hypocrisy is astounding,” said Milligan. “She decries federal funding decisions while strong-arming cities and towns right here in Massachusetts.” Falsehoods and Finger-Pointing on the Migrant Crisis Governor Healey continued her misleading narrative on immigration, falsely claiming that the migrant crisis began a year before she took office. In reality, the crisis began under her administration due to her refusal to enforce policies that would protect Massachusetts residents. “She wants to blame everyone but herself—Trump, the federal government, even ‘public perception’—while conveniently ignoring the fact that it was her own inaction that led to this crisis spiraling out of control,” Milligan added. Healey also claimed that most people in the state’s emergency shelter system are Massachusetts families. If true, the solution is simple: release the data.
