There is an urgency to this extraordinary moment that cannot be denied. The decisions we make now about how to engage with others, and how we will show up with the moral courage to support and protect and provide for those with less power, privilege or ability—will determine our future, and whether we will become further disconnected or fully realize our shared humanity.
We all have a role to play in our families, communities, and in our workplaces to help us get to a better place. For sure, the only way to ensure that we all make it to the other side of it is together. In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.:
Everybody can be great […] because anybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
