For survivors, women and girls, and all students.

Dear John,

From appointing perpetrators and enablers of sexual violence into top cabinet positions to issuing a flurry of executive orders that dismantle civil rights protections, the Trump administration has demonstrated a complete disregard for the safety of girls and women.

Today, we are proud to announce that the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) is seeking to intervene in a lawsuit to ensure that the Trump administration does not enforce its harmful Title IX 2020 rule. Help fuel our fight with a donation today.

Right now, the Trump administration has returned to enforcing its dangerous 2020 Title IX rule, which allows schools to further sweep sexual violence under the rug by dismissing complaints of sex-based harassment, including sexual assault, and to use uniquely unfair and hostile investigatory and grievance procedures that harm student survivors.

NWLC is fighting to reinstate the Biden administration’s 2024 Title IX rule that reversed harmful provisions of Trump’s 2020 rule and provided strong civil rights protections for student survivors against sex-based harassment and discrimination.

Your emergency gift today will support this fight and all our work to stop the administration's attacks on women and girls. Can you help?

The original lawsuit, Tennessee v. Cardona, brought by far-right groups and conservative states, led to a district court judge striking down the 2024 Title IX rule. NWLC is seeking to intervene on behalf of the Victim Rights Law Center, a direct services provider for victims of harassment that has witnessed how this flawed decision has chilled many student survivors from reporting sex-based harassment to their schools and prevented many from continuing their pending complaints.

NWLC was founded the same year Title IX was enacted—we have been expanding and defending Title IX’s legacy for over 50 years. We are not letting the Trump administration upend that legacy to benefit reported abusers. Please make a donation—of any amount—to help NWLC continue fighting in the courts for the rights of survivors, women and girls, and students across the country.

In solidarity,
