Upcoming Events

📌 March 2: Build and Defend NJ 2025 Gubernatorial Candidate Forum
The next four years will be crucial in protecting the rights and liberties of all New Jerseyans. With a national administration focused on dismantling safety nets and social services, voters must be informed about the candidates who will fight for them.

That’s why Emgage, alongside 20+ grassroots organizations, is hosting the Build and Defend NJ 2025 Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, where the public can hear directly from candidates about their plans to protect the Garden State’s future. Register here.

Statements

🔸 Opposing Cuts to Social Programs
The House passed a resolution to slash Medicaid, SNAP benefits, school meals, and housing assistance—all to fund tax cuts for corporations and billionaires. The vote was entirely along party lines, except for Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who opposed it. The Senate and House will now work out the differences between their versions before the process moves forward. Read more here.

🔸 Honoring Florida State Senator Geraldine Thompson
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Florida State Senator Geraldine Thompson, a trailblazing public servant and tireless advocate for justice, education, and civil rights. She left an indelible mark on her community and the state of Florida. We honor her remarkable legacy. See more here.
