The Social Security Administration is planning to cut half its workforce —
after Elon Musk and DOGE descended on the agency this week. ProPublica and
The American Prospect report that Trump and Republicans are fabricating
"fraud" claims to justify massive cuts.

Every day, 120,000 people rely on Social Security offices for critical
services—starting benefits, applying for Medicare, and more. These cuts
mean delays, denials, and devastating consequences for seniors and people
with disabilities.

Instead of gutting Social Security, we must expand it. Elizabeth Warren
