High unemployment rates will drive consumers to dollar stores

With unemployment rates soaring and consumers tightening their budgets, analysts forecast elevated sales at dollar stores like Dollar General Corp., Dollar Tree Inc. and Family Dollar. Additionally, their store locations tend to be in rural or suburban areas and some consumers are not interested in traveling the distance to competing retailers.
