2026 GUBERNATORIAL RACES
Did you know that 2026 is shaping up to be an amazing year for fortifying the states, strengthening the 10th Amendment, and putting wind in the sails of state freedom caucuses? Check this out: 1. HFC Congressman Andy Biggs is running for governor in Arizona 2. HFC Congressman Byron Donalds is running for governor in Florida
3. HFC Congressman Ralph Norman is considering running for governor in South Carolina 4. Congresswoman Harriet Hageman, a strong ally of the Wyoming Freedom Caucus, is considering running for governor in Wyoming. 5. Vivek Ramaswamey is running for governor in Ohio.
These races are fluid, and things could change, but with the exception of Ron DeSantis in Florida, the current governors in the states listed above are either Democrats or liberal Republicans. If the above men and woman are elected, it would be a massive upgrade for freedom! |
MISSOURI
An ugly bill is being considered in Missouri that would give Monsanto legal immunity against lawsuits claiming that its herbicide, RoundUp, is causing severe medical problems among farmers who use it. This is no different than vaccine manufacturers getting immunity from their COVID shots.
Monsanto (which is owned by the German pharmaceutical company, Bayer) has launched a nasty PR war against Missouri Freedom Caucus senators who oppose the bill. Their deceptive and ridiculous hit pieces claim that the senators are against President Trump and for China. Here's one such hit piece against MOFC member, Sen. Nick Schorer. |
Most politicians would buckle under that kind of pressure. But not the Missouri Freedom Caucus. Here's the lead paragraph in a recent news story:
Angered by a “bombastic” attempt to silence them, nine Republican state senators on Monday declared a planned legal shield for herbicide maker Bayer “dead on arrival” in the Missouri Senate. Without mentioning Bayer by name, a news release on Missouri Freedom Caucus letterhead said the nine had “come under attack from a powerful foreign entity” demanding blanket immunity for its products containing glyphosate. Give the Missouri Freedom Caucus a follow on X for more updates. |
WYOMING
As we've mentioned before, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus is fully in charge of the Wyoming state house. When their legislative session started last month, they launched their ambition "Five and Dime" plan to pass five conservative reforms within the first ten days. They succeeded in that plan, but the Wyoming Senate is not playing along. Once a respected conservative, Senate Leader Bo Biteman, has instead watered down and blocked WYFC-sponsored legislation like a property tax cut and universal school choice.
However, one key "Five and Dime" proposal has passed the State Senate and is now heading to the governor's desk - a ban on driver's licenses for illegal aliens. It remains to be seen if Wyoming's liberal Republican governor, Mark Gordon, will sign the bill. Stay tuned. |
MARYLAND
One concern that we get from various people is, "Why are you helping to launch freedom caucuses in blue states where very little can get done?" At a later time, I will write at length about why this isn't the case, but let me showcase why the Maryland Freedom Caucus is doing amazing - and effective - work right now.
The insane Democrat supermajority is currently pushing a bill that would allow condoms be made available in elementary schools. Sounds too crazy to be true, yet unfortunately it is.
But the Maryland Freedom Caucus has been so vocal in its opposition to it that the issue has gone national. MDFC members Mark Fisher and Kathy Szeliga were on NewsMax TV and Fox News to discuss it. Online influencer, LibsofTikTok, showcased Szeliga's floor speech on the issue that got 1.5 million views. Lastly, The Baltimore Sun newspaper even ran an online poll showing that Maryland voters oppose the bill - 67% to 33%. As one Fox News analyst said, "Parents in Maryland are normal. It's their legislators that are completely separated from what average parents think."
We originally thought that the bill would sail through both chambers, but after the state house passed it, the State Senate seems to be buckling under the pressure given all the pushback. As Morton Blackwell said, "In politics, nothing moves, unless pushed." |
We'll be back with another update next week. Until then, please be sure to support our efforts so that we can support our State Freedom Caucuses! In Liberty, |
