John,

Since early April, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S. jumped from 275,000 to
more than 1.7 million. In that time, while we needed laser focus on fighting
the pandemic, President Donald Trump has instead put his energy into
undermining trust and transparency in our government.

Since April, he has removed four independent Inspectors General tasked with
rooting out potential corruption and illegal activity at federal agencies.
Among those four was the official selected to oversee the implementation of the
initial $2 trillion COVID-19 relief bill, as well as an individual who
published a report outlining shortfalls in the administration’s COVID-19
response.

Mike recently published an editorial on why Congress needs to investigate
these firings and check Trump's attempts to evade accountability. Read it now
and share with your friends.

Americans deserve to know that our leaders are acting on behalf of the people
they serve -- not to advance their own political or personal interests. That's
true at any time. It's even more vital at a moment like this one, when millions
of lives and trillions of dollars are at stake.

Mike is calling for hearings into the removal of four independent Inspectors
General since April. Read his piece, then share:
