Like you, I am furious by the actions of Trump and his administration to undermine our Constitution. I’m fighting back—both in Congress and in our community.
Here’s what I’ve been doing to stand up for Los Angeles:
🛑 Holding the Administration Accountable
- Marched to the Treasury Department with my Democratic colleagues to conduct congressional oversight but we were denied entry.
- Rallied with hundreds of Americans to condemn Elon Musk's unprecedented access to personal financial data.
- Demanded answers from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in the Ways and Means Committee.
- Introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to permanently protect your Social Security numbers, tax refunds, and bank account information from Trump and unelected billionaires like Musk.
🏡 Staying Connected with the Community
- Met with nonprofit leaders serving Los Angeles to discuss the impact of Trump’s attempted funding freeze on critical services like food security, education, and housing assistance.
