New Democrat Coalition Chair Brad Schneider (IL-10) released the following statement on the New Democrat Coalition Leadership Team’s endorsement of two critical bills: the Taxpayer Data Protection Act and the Prevent Tariff Abuse Act. 

The Taxpayer Data Protection Act would limit access to the Treasury’s data systems and the Prevent Tariff Abuse Act would clarify that the President cannot impose tariffs under the guise of a national emergency without congressional approval.

New Democrat Coalition Chair Brad Schneider (IL-11) and Vice Chair for Policy Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) issued the following statement after House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries appointed eleven Democratic Members to the Select Committee on Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.
