Refugees and asylum seekers in Israel are struggling: An estimated 90% of asylum-seeker adults have lost their jobs or have been forced into unpaid leave. Without income, unemployment benefits or national health insurance, asylum seekers are in serious danger of becoming homeless.
Right now, HIAS Israel is working to make sure asylum seekers and refugees who have lost their jobs can access vital assistance.
