Dear John,
As I reflect on everything I am grateful for during these challenging times, my Girls Inc. community is at the forefront of my mind. I want you to know that by supporting Girls Inc.—whether you contribute financially, advocate on behalf of girls, volunteer at an affiliate, or share our messages on social media—you are creating an opportunity for a girl.
When I joined Girls Inc., I was extremely shy and never would have pictured myself going to college and graduate school—much less discovering a career path in healthcare and going on to serve on the Girls Inc. of Dothan Board. Whenever I get nervous or question myself, I think back to the time I spoke in front of a packed ballroom at the Girls Inc. New York Luncheon. I tell myself, “If you could do that as a teenager, you can do this now.”
I would love to share the full story of the difference you and Girls Inc. continue to make in my life. Thank you for everything you do to ensure that more girls and young women like me have access to the proven programming and expert staff who help us grow up strong, smart, and bold.
In gratitude,
Ariel
