By now, you have probably heard about Donald Trump’s unforgivable act of treachery—one of his first acts as President after being sworn in was to grant unconditional pardons to January 6 Capitol riot offenders, including defendants who have been prosecuted but haven’t yet had their cases heard before a jury.

Axios reported that Donald Trump’s stated rationale for granting a sweeping pardon for the felons, traitors, white supremacists, and violent criminals who attacked cops and erected a gallows to hang the sitting Vice President from was simply: “F-k it.”

MAGA’s calculus is simple: if you are with us, you are a Patriot, and you have Donald Trump’s blessing to perpetrate unspeakable acts of violence and destruction.

And if you stand up against MAGA…then you are the “enemy within” that Trump and his loyalist psychos publicly fantasize about purging and punishing.

As an educator, I have devoted myself to shaping the character of America’s future leaders. And I’ll be damned if I sit back and accept what Trump is doing to our country without a fight.
