NARAL Pro-Choice America recently changed its name to Reproductive Freedom for All. Our name may be new, but our mission of protecting and expanding reproductive freedom remains the same.
John,
It's hard not to feel outraged and worried when you look at Trump's Cabinet nominees. These individuals are poised to wield incredible power—and their track records show they will stop at nothing to restrict reproductive freedom and roll back decades of progress. Who do you think is the most dangerous? Take the survey now.
In case you're losing track of all the anti-abortion extremists Trump has nominated, we've got you covered—here's your cheat sheet on the worst of the worst:
- Martin Makary, FDA Commissioner Nominee: The Fox News contributor who has pushed anti-abortion disinformation on air could effectively ban medication abortion and control the availability and affordability of birth control nationwide.
- Mehmet Oz, Administration for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Nominee: Known for promoting disinformation and who ran for the U.S. Senate on a firmly anti-abortion platform, Oz could jeopardize access to evidence-based reproductive care, putting millions of lives at risk.
- Marco Rubio, Secretary of State: A staunch anti-abortion advocate with a history of supporting extreme measures to ban abortion, including supporting rolling back access to care globally. In his first few days in office, as Secretary of State, he had the U.S. join an international global anti-abortion pact.
- Russ Vought, Office of Management and Budget Nominee: As the architect of Project 2025, Vought has pushed to defund reproductive health programs and strip access to affordable care. He has repeatedly and consistently demonstrated hostility to reproductive freedom through public statements and leadership roles advocating for and implementing anti-abortion policies.
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services Nominee: RFK Jr. said he believes that "every abortion is a tragedy" and that he supports a national abortion ban. At the helm of this agency, he would have the power to block access to sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion.
- Pam Bondi, Attorney General Nominee: Bondi has a history of opposing abortion rights and has taken legal actions against reproductive health organizations. As attorney general she would oversee federal litigation efforts, guide enforcement priorities, and determine how critical statutes—including those affecting reproductive freedom and abortion rights and access—are interpreted and enforced.
- Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense: His policy positions and influence will have direct effects on reproductive health policies concerning service members and their families. In his first few days as Secretary, he rescinded a critical Biden-era policy that allowed service members and dependents who could not access care through military insurance coverage to receive reimbursement for travel and transportation costs for abortion care and fertility treatments.
It's okay to feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of this threat. The fear, anger, and uncertainty are real—but so is our power to fight back.
Your input matters now more than ever. We want to hear from you: Who do you think poses the greatest threat to reproductive freedom?
