Coach Tuberville just won another one!
You’ll remember conservative stalwart Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) waged a lonely battle to stop the Biden Administration from paying for Pentagon employees’ abortion travel expenses.
This week, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took the ball from Tuberville and carried it over the goal line. The unconscionable program has been rescinded! Joe Biden’s abortion travel agency has been shut down!
Taxpayer funding for our military will once again only pay for national defense, not the killing of the unborn.
When Biden’s shocking policy was first announced, Tuberville objected to any Senate fast-tracking of Biden’s senior military promotions. Democrats howled. The media screamed. Even many Republicans urged Tuberville to back down.
But for 11 months, he stood his ground.
One Senator — almost all alone — took on the entire Washington establishment and military industrial complex.
It was one of the most heroic Senate fights of this century. And now, Coach Tuberville has won it.
“I took a lot of heat when I stood alone for nearly a year in holding senior Pentagon promotions over this — but as of today, it was all worth it,” he said.
