What a month, John.

Between receiving new committee assignments, advocating for wildfire aid, and pushing back against Trump’s destructive executive orders – it’s been a whirlwind to kick off the new year.

None of us can sit here and claim any of this was unexpected.

We’ve long known that Trump and his GOP allies have a strategy of governing by chaos, and nothing exemplifies that more than this week’s stunning order freezing trillions in aid only to rescind it the next day.

For our part, we’re staying laser-focused on delivering for our community here in CA-27. That means not taking Trump’s bait, but pushing back forcefully when his actions have a real life, detrimental impact on our district.

We have an important job in front of us, which is made harder by the fact that I’m emerging as one of the GOP’s top targets to unseat in 2026. We cut into the majority last November, and they are not happy about it, John.

We need to send a message – especially now – that we will not back down. Will you take a stand with a $3 donation before tonight's deadline? This our first deadline of the year, and our support will go a long way.
