As if the first eleven days of Trump’s presidency hadn’t been bad enough, today — Day Twelve — might have been even worse. Today alone, Trump announced 25% tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico, our three biggest trading partners and said that he will seize the Panama Canal, a clear threat of military aggression.

In short, expect your prices to go up and for the US to possibly start a new US-led invasion for the first time since 2003.

But we can’t give up. That’s exactly what Trump and his fascistic cronies want. They feed off our anguish and our apathy.

All of this is preventable with the right opposition. When we give up, we’re giving Trump and his right-wing cronies exactly what they want. They feed off our anguish and our apathy.

While they hope we give up, we’re actually on track to raise more money just this month than we did all of last year — but only if folks reading emails like these help us cross the finish line to reach our goal and help us rally young people against the threats posed by Trump and for a brighter future.
