Dear Friends,

As we face the start of a new chapter with the incoming Trump administration, I want to take a moment to address the fear and uncertainty many of us share. Here in Philadelphia, your City Council is actively preparing to protect and advocate for our communities.

That is why I introduced a resolution to hold a Trump Preparedness Hearing, where I’m bringing together experts, advocates, and city leaders to evaluate the potential effects of federal policies on Philadelphia. From healthcare access and immigrant protections, to protecting LGBTQ+ rights, education priorities, and beyond, we will develop strategies to ensure Philadelphia remains a safe, inclusive, and thriving city for everyone.

My priority is clear: Philadelphia will safeguard the values that define our city—diversity, equity, and resilience. While there may be challenges ahead, I am confident that together, we can rise to meet them with strength and unity and fight.
