It was a privilege to lead this conversation alongside Mohamad Machine-Chian, an Iranian public policy scholar and a leader of the country’s freedom movement. Together, we examined the critical role of the Iranian regime in the broader Middle East, the remarkable growth of the freedom movement in Iran, and what these developments mean for the future of free markets and individual rights in the region and beyond.
