1. Update: Emergency Wildfire Response in California

When multiple deadly wildfires broke out in California, entire neighborhoods were destroyed. Tens of thousands are still displaced, and countless people have lost everything. Americares is often among the first on-site following a disaster – and these wildfires were no exception. With the outpouring of generosity from humanitarians like you, our team has:

• Reached out to more than 70 health facilities and shelters in the region to offer emergency assistance.
• Distributed essential supplies, including truckloads of drinking water and thousands of N95 masks to help protect families from smoke and ash inhalation.
• Provided respiratory medicines, hygiene kits and other essential medical supplies.

Our emergency response staff are still on the ground in California coordinating with partners and delivering critical resources.
