A Democrat in Iowa—a state that Donald Trump won by 9 points in 2024—just flipped a deep red state senate seat to blue, only days into Trump’s already-chaotic second term.

But this shocking win is more than just a flip: Trump carried this district in November by more than 20 points.

Such an incredible result in a red state like Iowa shows that when we come together, we can win over new voters everywhere and even flip Trump voters with the right message.

This race is the first congressional special election in 2025, and could very well tip the balance of power in the House—and therefore in all of Washington.

A win here can turn the tide. That’s why this team is working so hard to build the war chest we need to win: with over 35,000 grassroots donors, we have raised nearly $1.2 million from individual donations in less than two months.
