Before the country gets ready for the beginning of Black History Month, we want to highlight this video post from Vintage & Iconic African American Everything.
By watching it, you can learn a little about the hidden messages conveyed through quilts during the Underground Railroad, the secret network that helped enslaved people escape to freedom between 1820 and 1861.

The right to vote has been undercut across the country and remains at risk—especially for Black voters and other voters of color.
Instead of strengthening these protections by enacting the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, leadership in Congress is pushing anti-voter legislation that will add more barriers to the ballot.
As Black voters and other voters of color across the country face the greatest assault on their voting rights since the Jim Crow era, a growing number of states are acting to protect the right to vote and safeguard our democracy.
With the passage of State Voting Rights Acts, states can provide key protections to their constituents that prevent and guard against discriminatory voting practices and policies.
Message or call [[link removed]] your representatives to let them know you want a State Voting Rights Act in Pennsylvania.
Do not forget to make sure your right to vote is still intact.

NPPEF on the ground
Pennsylvanians have a lot of questions regarding the many confusing executive orders they're seeing on the news. We expect this to be the case for the next few months.
Our teams are ready to help break the cycle of misinformation spread, and make sure registered voters have the facts.
When you see our teams on the ground, even if you are registered to vote, approach us to get some civic education.
