Serving Pennsylvania's 2nd District

Friend,

I recently had the honor of hosting a celebratory event with leaders from labor unions, law enforcement, fire departments, and education organizations. Together, we marked the monumental achievement of the Social Security Fairness Act and celebrated the years of tireless advocacy that brought this historic reform to fruition.

Do you support my efforts to strengthen Social Security for teachers, firefighters, and other public servants?

Signed into law by President Biden on January 5, 2025, this bipartisan legislation ensures public servants—law enforcement officers, firefighters, teachers, and others—receive the full Social Security benefits they’ve earned. For too long, unfair benefit calculations penalized public employees. This law corrects that injustice and guarantees fairness for millions of hardworking Americans.

This victory is personal to me. One of my first meetings in Congress was with public servants advocating for this bill. A decade later, I’m proud to say we delivered—benefiting 2.8 million Americans who will now see more in their Social Security checks each month.

At the event, I was joined by union leaders representing working-class people from across Philadelphia. Their dedication was instrumental in making this achievement possible.

This achievement proves what we can accomplish when workers stand together. I’m committed to protecting workers’ rights, ensuring fairness, and fighting for working families. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your voice in Congress.

Sincerely,
