Since President Trump took office, Mayor Michelle Wu has been actively working against ICE in their efforts to keep Boston and Massachusetts residents safe. Earlier this week, Mayor Wu justified the move, saying her job is “to go by facts rather than just, sort of, made up stuff.”

It’s a fact that a bombshell MassGOP-backed FOIA request revealed over 1,000 serious incidents in taxpayer-funded emergency migrant shelters since 2022.

It’s a fact that Massachusetts has already spent more than $1,000,000,000 of taxpayer money on the migrant crisis, with no real end in sight.

It’s a fact ​​multiple MS-13 gang members, murder and rape suspects, and a Haitian gang member with 18 prior convictions, were all arrested in Boston this month.

Rewatching the video, I realized that Mayor Wu was all over the place, saying -

“We will continue to follow the law” but

“We don’t enforce federal immigration law” ?

Then Mayor Wu contradicts herself again - “When someone breaks the law here, we hold them accountable, regardless of their immigration status.” ?!

This is a clear reminder that Mayor Wu is out to make “Massachusetts into a bold laboratory for progressive state initiatives.”

Mayor Wu’s latest comments epitomize everything wrong with Democratic politics in Massachusetts. Her views are not only unsafe but also lack the common sense approach Republicans have been running and winning on across the State.

The MassGOP looks forward to supporting a conservative candidate who can put an end to Mayor Wu’s extreme progressive agenda in 2025. And we’re not stopping in Boston...

As we speak, Republicans across MA are running for local office to:

✅ Amend the right to shelter law; and

✅ Put an end to backdoor deals and reckless spending.
