- Expanding Know Your Rights (KYR) resources: Demand has surged and NIJC is rapidly updating and translating resources, and doing dozens of live presentations in Chicago and Indiana, to ensure as many people as possible can access the information they need to protect themselves and their loved ones.
- Providing legal representation: NIJC provides legal services to more than 11,000 immigrants and refugees each year. Our legal expertise makes us uniquely positioned to respond to the ever-changing policies and laws as they impact immigrants and their families in seeking legal options. This week, our team has been busy providing consultations to people and families swept up during ongoing ICE raids in the Chicago area.
