With President Trump signing the Laken Riley Act, we’ve taken a monumental first step toward securing our border and protecting Americans, my friend.

You may remember the heartbreaking story of Laken Riley – a 22-year-old nursing student who was violently murdered by an illegal immigrant.

Her story is not an anomaly. Unfortunately, Wisconsin has seen its share of dangerous and violent illegal immigrants harming our communities. It’s a sobering reminder of the urgent need for action.

The Laken Riley Act is a no-nonsense policy that prioritizes the safety of Americans. It ensures that criminal illegal immigrants are swiftly removed from our country. There is no place for violence in our communities, especially from those who have entered our country unlawfully.

While this bill is rooted in heartbreak, I am proud to have played a role in getting it passed. I’ve been to the border several times and tirelessly urged the Biden administration to act – only to be met with silence and inaction. Now, with President Trump back in office and Republicans leading Congress, we finally have the power to make meaningful progress.

This is just the beginning.
