Pete Hegseth is now our Secretary of Defense, and Kristi Noem is running Homeland Security. On top of that, the Trump administration is putting in motion several severe cuts to programs that will harmfully affect Americans no matter who they voted for. This is terrible news for the future of our country.
This is the blueprint of Trump 2.0, divide, defund, and dehumanize. Let me be clear: this will never be normal, and Americans deserve better. Trump’s extreme agenda and his cabal of radical cabinet picks are threatening not only the fabric of our democracy but also the safety nets put in place that allow families just barely to get by. That should scare every single one of us.
Insurance programs like CHIP, housing vouchers, and food stamps helped my family get by when I was a child. Now, the GOP wants to take these critical lifelines away. So we can’t afford to sit on the sidelines. |
