You can't make this stuff up: during a ceremonial bill signing today, Donald Trump said he will reopen Guantanamo Bay as a site to detain and hold, indefinitely, up to 30,000 undocumented immigrants.

'Gitmo' has a sordid history of torture and abuse, and has been used as an offshore detention facility precisely because it is outside of the territory of the United States—and far from prying eyes that may want to know what goes on there.

Tragically, and unsurprisingly, the GOP-controlled Congress continues to let Trump steamroll our democracy and consolidate more and more power for himself, ripping to shreds our Constitution and our checks-and-balances system of government.

Trump is working to make himself into a King and the MAGA lemmings running our government are helping him do it.

But now, we have a chance to stop them.

This special election is our first chance to push back against Trump’s abuse of power and to punish MAGA for selling America out.
