 John, it's official: I’ve been assigned to serve on two key committees during the 119th Congress! Both offer incredible opportunities to make progress here in the district, and both allow me to continue in Congress the important work I focused on in the Assembly. On the Science, Space, & Technology Committee, I will have a hand in shaping our country's renewable energy policies. I know that we will not survive the climate crisis without increased utilization and development of clean energy, and I will force the lawmakers continuing to push fossil fuels to face that reality over the next two years and beyond. Serving on the powerful Transportation & Infrastructure Committee will allow me to continue my effective leadership from my time as Assembly Chair of the Transportation Committee, where I pushed for forward-thinking investments to make our transportation policies more equitable and sustainable. I’m excited to hold lawmakers in Washington accountable, and to be able to fight to bring federal dollars into California. You're the reason I'm here, John, and it's my hope we can continue our partnership as we work to protect our planet.
