Unbelievable: A GOP senator who is up for reelection is the one who tried to sabotage Pete Hegseth's nomination at the last minute

When it came time to vote on Pete Hegseth's confirmation, three GOP senators were expected to vote no. That's okay because JD Vance would be the tie-breaking vote. However, Republican North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis was rumored to vote no at the last minute. This was odd, considering that President Trump was in North Carolina on the same day, pledging to help the North Carolinians that Trump's Democrat predecessor left behind.

The good news is that he voted yes. The bad news is that he tried to sabotage the nomination so that he didn't have to.
