John,
Starbucks must be getting scared: The coffee giant just called the police on Starbucks Union supporters engaging in a peaceful protest in Brooklyn today for a fair contract and to protest unfair labor practices – in this case closing a unionized store without bargaining that decision with the union.
Starbucks needs to turn its business around. That’s not going to happen until they listen to baristas like us who show up day in and day out to make the Starbucks experience what it is. But, instead, they called the cops on us.
We won’t stop. Just last month, over 5,000 union baristas walked off the job, shutting down stores in 43 states because of unfair labor practices. They're wrong if Starbucks thinks it can keep dragging its feet on a fair contract with us.
We need your help, John. Sign the No Contract, No Coffee pledge today to stand in solidarity with Starbucks workers putting our bodies on the line.
