Let us share two powerful examples of how your dedication makes a real difference. In 2024, we achieved a significant victory when the Ohio Supreme Court, informed by an amicus brief from Alley Cat Allies, ruled that Ohio's companion animal cruelty law protects ALL cats and dogs, no matter whether they are “kept.” This ruling sets a powerful precedent in ensuring legal protections for all cats across the country, particularly community cats, who do not have owners and are often cared for by caregivers who cannot always be identified. In another victory, Alley Cat Allies' legal efforts and refusal to back down forced the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) to agree to stop movement on its cruel plan to remove and kill community cats living on the San Juan National Historic Site in Puerto Rico. If not for this victory, the NPS would have started removing cats as early as Oct. 1, 2024. We filed a historic federal lawsuit to stop NPS’ plan permanently, and we will keep fighting until the cats are safe from lethal action. We need your support to keep up the fight. Join us in standing for community cats as we champion the humane treatment of all cats and kittens. This year, we're asking supporters like you to renew your commitment in 2025. When you renew before Jan. 31, we will mail you a brand new 2025 Supporter Card to keep in your wallet or hang on your fridge as a reminder of the critical support you provide to cats year after year. With heartfelt appreciation, Alley Cat Allies P.S. Would you consider making your annual gift today? Your support will go to work immediately, helping cats and kittens in need across the country, and we will also send you a 2025 Supporter Card in the mail.
