Today, we celebrate a major win for the American people: the end of divisive and ineffective DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies in the federal government.

Thanks to President Trump's leadership, DEI offices nationwide will have closed, marking a turning point in restoring merit, excellence, and accountability to public service.

For too long, DEI policies prioritized identity politics over merit, creating division where unity should thrive. With this executive order, President Trump has reaffirmed that the American Dream belongs to everyone willing to work hard for it, not those who check arbitrary boxes.

At the New York Republican State Committee, we call for New York State to follow this lead immediately. It’s time to eliminate DEI programs across our state government, including SUNY and CUNY, and put common sense back into governance.
