Dear neighbors, 

Late in the day on Friday we heard back from the Supreme Court regarding the "quorum" issue. Without getting into the weeds here, the court decided that the House needs 68 members present to conduct any official business. This means that Republicans, with 67 members, are now blocked from conducting the business that we have been the last 2 weeks. From floor sessions to committee meetings and so much more, we have now been blocked from doing these things. 

We were hopeful that the Democrats would join us today, considering we need at least one of them to have 68 members present and do official work. However, not a single one showed up for work today. All 67 Republicans were here and are still trying to do the work that Minnesota needs us to do, but all 66 Democrats are continuing to refuse. Each Democrat representative has the opportunity to come to work and give us the one member that we are missing, and still none of them will do that.

As each day passes in their absence, I am still working for you. We are blocked from conducting official business on our own, but we show up every day. It is past time for the Democrats to stand up and do the same for Minnesota.
