Here’s a quick rundown of what happened in the Senate last week.
The Laken Riley Act was passed to detain criminal aliens (64-35 [ [link removed] ]).
Marco Rubio was confirmed as Secretary of State (99-0 [ [link removed] ]).
John Ratcliffe was confirmed as CIA Director (74-25 [ [link removed] ]).
Pete Hegseth was confirmed as Secretary of Defense (51-50 [ [link removed] ]).
Kristi Noem was confirmed as Secretary of Homeland Security (59-34 [ [link removed] ]).
These are all big victories for our America First agenda.
Rubio, Ratcliffe, Hegseth, and Noem will get to work immediately to protect our nation and advance our interests around the globe, and the Laken Riley Act will ensure that criminal aliens are detained so they can’t harm innocent Americans.
Thank you for doing so much to make these actions possible.
There was one notable defeat this week when the Democrats blocked S.6, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which mandates medical care for infants surviving abortions. The Democrats chose to filibuster [ [link removed] ] the measure even though they said they opposed the use of the filibuster during the campaign last year. Surprise, surprise.
This Week
The Senate will vote on more cabinet nominations, including Scott Bessent for Secretary of Treasury and Sean Duffy for Secretary of Transporation.
The Senate will hold confirmation hearings with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kash Patel for FBI Director, and Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence.
The Senate will vote on whether to consider a bill to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) for its baseless arrest warrants targeting Israeli leaders defending their nation from Hamas terrorists.
Thank you for your continued support. We will keep fighting!
Make 2025 Count
Please help us reach our fundraising goals by making a one-time or monthly contribution to the Senate Conservatives Fund.
We have set a goal of raising $250,000 for each of our eight supported senators this year, and we need your help. [ [link removed] ]
Conservatives won the election, but now we must work even harder to enact the right policies, fortify our current group of senators, and elect even more fighters in the midterm elections.
