Friend,

My mind is still going a million miles an hour, and with everything
racing through my head right now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. 

So I wanted to take a minute to reflect on the incredible journey that
led me here.

Hillbilly, author, Marine, Senator — and now, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE
UNITED STATES. 

Who would’ve thought a kid from Middletown could one day make it to
the White House? 

Not me, never in my wildest dreams.

As you probably know already, I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon
in my mouth like so many of the career politicians I’ve had the
misfortune of working within the D.C. swamp.

I grew up poor, in the Rust Belt, in a small Ohio town that had been
losing jobs and hope for generations. 

My Mamaw — God rest her soul — would go into medical debt just to
put food on the table. Some nights, she didn't even have enough money
to turn on the heat in the dead of winter.

In Middletown, hard-working families that gave everything they had to
achieve the American Dream watched helplessly as their jobs were
shipped overseas. 

The statistics tell you that kids like me face a grim future – that
if they’re lucky, they’ll manage to avoid welfare

I was one of those kids with a grim future, but through hard work,
grit, determination, and the love of my grandparents, I made it out.

First to the Marines where I was deployed to Iraq, then to Yale where
I met my incredible wife, and eventually all the way to the U.S.
Senate where I faithfully served the great people of Ohio.

But the real honor of my lifetime came from President Trump, when he
gave me the privilege of joining his ticket.

He called me and said, look, I think we've gotta go save this country,
I think you're the guy who could help me in the best way. You can help
me govern, you could help me win. 

And after a whirlwind campaign – one that featured a second failed
assassination attempt, a political coup of the sitting president, and
a landslide victory – we stand at the precious of the four greatest
years in American history.

President Trump and I are ready to keep the American Dream alive for
future generations and restore this country’s great promise, but we
can’t do it alone. 

So today, I’m humbly asking you to step up one more time and
contribute any amount - even just $5 - to support our new
