“The Lord is my shepherd; I have what I need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters. He renews my life; he leads me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff — they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:1-4
Friend,
This Psalm is one that likely everyone has heard at least once in their life. Verses like this can get watered down if you’ve heard them so often and the weight of their words can be lessened.
Sometimes all it takes is slowing down to really read the passage, and then sitting with the description of our God. These attributes of God written here are not just words - they are the truth.
He is our shepherd, He renews our lives, and He is with us even in the darkest valleys. We are never alone. He provides all we need. He is our comfort.
Thank you Lord for being a God we can trust and a God who provides. Look to Him in all things and He will not let you down!
