Under President Biden: Medicaid enrollment reached record-highs and the
uninsured rate dropped to record lows. Consisting of mostly low-income and
disabled Americans, over 79 million people were able covered under this
program. Democratic leadership kept their promises to protect Medicaid,
Medicare, and Social Security from budget cuts and helped improve the
Affordable Care Act to continue providing care to every American who
needed it.
Under President Trump: The GOP promises to cut $2 trillion from government
spending, meaning massive cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. They plan on
privatizing programs like Social Security which will open vulnerable
Americans to price-gouging tactics and predatory tactics that raise their
costs so pharmaceutical companies can make billions in profit. If Trump
keeps his promises, millions of Americans will lose their coverage and be
forced to choose between their health and bankrupcy.
