Good morning,

Thank you for taking an interest in our press conference ([link removed]) last Friday - and particularly, thanks to those barbershop, salon, and gym/fitness business owners who took part. Your personal stories, raw emotion, and sincerity combined for a powerful message that we have been working to deliver to county supervisors and Governor Newsom: It is unacceptable to proceed with the reopening process while continuing to leave important small businesses behind.

It will be even more powerful if you join in the lobbying effort directly. To that end, we have included the required email addresses. In the case of Newsom, his hard mail address is included as well. (Physical mail is powerful when it arrives in large quantities)

All of our efforts are having an effect. San Diego County has included salons (albeit at reduced capacity) already and Newsom has signaled that some statewide guidance is coming this week. That said - with all of our training and commitment to our customers - waiting one more day is not acceptable.

Let them hear it!
-Brian

Governor Newsom,

Please speed up the process for re-opening salons, barbershops, and fitness facilities. Our customers want to return and we are well equipped and trained to maintain proper hygiene and social distancing. As a business community, we are desperate and every day I hear of another friend or fellow business owner who is closing their doors for good. Governor, this can't go on any longer. It simply isn’t fair to responsible business owners like myself.

Please allow our business community to move into Phase 3 today.

County Supervisors:

Dear Supervisor Bartlett/Wagner/Steel,

Thank you for the work you are doing to qualify business owners to re-open. As you know, here in Orange County, salons, barbershops, and fitness facilities are still being left behind. Please do everything you can to qualify us to re-open. We are licensed and trained to maintain good hygiene for our shops, our employees, and most of all, our customers.

Supervisor, we are getting desperate. Relief money is not being uniformly distributed and there is uncertainty regarding the constantly changing rules. Every day I speak with another business owner who is closing for good. This can’t go on much longer. We need to be included in Phase 3 and Phase 3 should start as soon as possible.

Please help us.
