No matter how you honor Memorial Day, I hope you have a meaningful day.

Julie Oliver for Congress

Team,

Today, we're reminded of not just the sacrifices that those who serve in the military make, but of the responsibility that we have to honor our commitments to our service members, our veterans, and their families.

Just as it is with school, work, and every aspect of our daily lives — COVID-19 and the need to observe social distancing means that this year’s Memorial Day will be very different from past observances.

Nevertheless, our family still plans to honor veterans and service members with the respect they have earned through their service and sacrifice, and I hope you’ll join us in whatever way you can.

On Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country and the families who lost loved ones.

We owe fallen service members and military families a debt that can never be repaid. No matter how you honor Memorial Day, I hope you have a meaningful day.

Thank you,

Julie
