John,
Working people are fired up and ready to fight back in 2025.
Next month, we’ll launch our Rooted in Community Campaign School―a free in-person program to train progressive candidates running for local or state office. Our Campaign School focuses on training women of color and BIPOC* candidates with the lived experience needed to serve our communities.
And while we had planned on training 15 candidates, we received a record number of applicants.
We’re interviewing folks right now and want to expand February’s cohort to include 20 candidates. While the Campaign School is completely free for candidates, the program costs $400 per attendee.
Can you help us expand this year’s Rooted in Community Campaign School to train more working-class candidates? Rush a donation today and help expand the number of candidates we can train this February and March.
If this past election taught us anything, it’s that we need more candidates who understand the needs of voters―and too often, everyday people don’t have the connections or resources to run for office and represent their communities. That’s why we end up with millionaires in elected office who can spend a lot of money on ads and mailers, but don’t actually understand the needs of the communities they serve.
Whether it’s $5 or $400, every donation goes a long way toward training future leaders to run for office. Rush a donation today and help us expand February’s Rooted in Community Campaign School to train more working-class women of color and BIPOC candidates with the lived experience to serve our communities.

John,
This week we’re interviewing applicants to our Rooted in Community Campaign School―a free in-person program to train progressive candidates running for local and state office.
While we budgeted to train 15 candidates, we received a record number of applicants and we’d love to expand this year’s Campaign School further.
The cost per trainee is just $400, which means that every donation, whether it’s $5 or $400, goes a long way toward training future leaders to run for office. As billionaires keep spending more to influence our elections, we need to keep supporting candidates who can’t typically afford the high costs of running for office. That’s why we provide our Rooted in Community Campaign School for free.
The Rooted in Community Campaign School focuses on training women of color and BIPOC* candidates with the lived experience needed to serve our communities. This month-long course will take place over five Saturdays in February and March.
Will you donate to help fully fund this free program for progressive candidates? Whether it’s $5 or $400, every donation goes directly toward training the leaders of tomorrow, today.
A friend once told me, “People like us never think about running for office and that’s the problem.”
That’s exactly why we created the Rooted in Community Campaign School.
We’ll train candidates on the fundamentals of running a grassroots campaign from communications to field work to fundraising and more―and we’ll ensure that each of these campaign strategies is rooted in community and reflects the needs of each candidate’s district, whether they’re running for local or statewide office.
Click here to donate today and power our Rooted in Community Campaign School to train working-class candidates with the lived experience to represent their communities.
