Hi  John,

Jared Huffman (CA-2) is no longer the only member of Congress who identifies with our community! He is joined by Yassamin Ansari (AZ-3) who identifies as an agnostic and Emily Randell (WA-6) who responded "none" when asked about her religion. Both are newly elected members - you can see all the elected officials who identify with our community here[[link removed]].

Please support our efforts to help more elected officials identify with our community with a donation to the Center for Freethought Equality today[[link removed]].

Congresswoman Ansari's public identification with us was the result of a meeting at a mid-November reception for a handful of candidates who had just won their elections. When describing our work to her, she said she was an agnostic. I told her that the Congressional Quarterly would soon be sending her a survey and one of the questions would be about religion. I urged her to write in agnostic, because it would not be one of the options given by CQ - and she did! You can send a thank you message to Rep. Ansari here[[link removed]].
