Team,
Since day one, this campaign has been all about building a broad coalition to win.
Across TX-25 and this country, people are learning about Julie’s 100% PAC-free campaign focused on showing up and listening to those who had been left out or locked out of our democracy.
It’s in sharp contrast to Roger Williams, who has spent most of his time in Congress enriching himself and his special interest donors. People see that his voting record isn’t helping people from Alvarado to Austin and agree that it’s time to flip this seat.
Julie never thought she’d run for Congress. But for her, it was healthcare. So when Congress came after healthcare for the elderly, for sick children, working Texans, and people with disabilities — all so millionaires and multi-national corporations could get a tax cut — that's what did it. That’s when she knew she had to run for Congress.
The first time Julie took a shot at flipping this seat in 2018, the conventional wisdom was that an outsider with no political connections could never pull it off. They told us to forget it. That she was wasting her time. But we turned TX-25 into a national battleground, coming within striking distance of the incumbent in a district heavily gerrymandered to favor Republicans.
Without a single dime from any PAC, we proved that even the reddest of districts should never be written off. And in 2020, we’re going to finish the job.
Let’s show everyone that grassroots momentum is on our side.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Team Julie
