Welcome to another edition of FT Now! Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is
officially fed up with the media narratives surrounding his state. Who
can blame him? We have another hypocrite alert - this time in Missouri
with Democrat gubernatorial candidate Nicole Galloway. And in
Pennsylvania, Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf is catching heat for his
administration's total lack of transparency in its handling of the
COVID-19 crisis. Read below for more.
P.S. As we prepare to observe Memorial Day, join us in honoring and
remembering all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we could be
free.
Gov. Ron DeSantis Blasts Media for Pushing "Partisan Narrative" Amid
Positive Virus Response in FL
What Happened:
Gov. Ron DeSantis clearly became fed up this week with the media's
coverage of his handling of the COVID-19 crisis in Florida.
Why You Should Care:
Despite his state's success, DeSantis has been criticized by a hostile
media for weeks - even months. It's almost like partisan bias is
driving news coverage! If you're in a blue state, everything you're
doing is great. If you live in a red state? Not so much. As DeSantis put
it, even though Florida has succeeded, "people just don't want to
recognize it because it challenges their narrative, it challenges their
assumption..."
What Happens Next:
Don't expect any kind of mea culpa from the media.

Missouri Dem Touts Endorsement From Dark Money Group After Denouncing
Dark Money
What Happened:
After saying she hates "dark money with a passion," Missouri Democrat
gubernatorial candidate Nicole Galloway touted an endorsement
from....wait for it...a dark money group.
Why You Should Care:
For one thing, it's hypocrisy at its finest. She's used dark money
as an attack against incumbent Gov. Mike Parson, but then says she's
"proud" to be endorsed by 314 Action - a group that doesn't disclose
its donors.
What Happens Next:
Galloway didn't answer questions about her hypocrisy - this time. But
don't expect these questions to go away anytime soon!

Editorial Boards Across Pennsylvania Are Demanding "More Transparency"
From Governor Tom Wolf
What Happened:
Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf is getting slammed for things like "secrecy and
inconsistency" and "lack of transparency" in how he's overseeing
Pennsylvania's response to COVID-19.
Why You Should Care:
As the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette notes, "...the administration of Tom Wolf
has opted for a shutdown of access to public records and created a state
government that can largely operate in secret for an undetermined
period." Not good. And in the Patriot News: "Transparency means we
should know why the governor took steps to close down some businesses
and leave others open." Um, yeah.
What Happens Next:
Gov. Wolf has some serious questions he needs to answer for the people
of Pennsylvania.
