Shocking Video Shows Shootout Between Police and New Orleans Terrorist |
Gut-wrenching footage of the Bourbon Street shootout between police and New Orleans terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar emerged on Thursday, showing New Year’s revelers running for their lives as shots rang out after the deadly truck attack. “What the f**k! A guy just f**king died,” the videographer yelled while filming Jabbar’s vehicle after its deliberate crash. Gunfire began to sound moments later.
The video reveals how quickly law enforcement stopped the ISIS sympathizer from making his massacre even more deadly. Although police leadership could have done more to prevent the attack, the officers on the ground acted swiftly and honorably in quashing it once it began. They are heroes. Watch here.

Estimated Russian Gains Revealed, Showing Significant End-of-Year Advances |
A new report from the Institute for the Study of War estimates that Russian forces advanced 4,168 square kilometers in the Ukraine war in 2024, with over 56% of those gains being made from September to November. The triumphs came at a cost. According to the Ukrainian military, the conflict killed over 400,000 Russian troops last year, meaning the warring country lost approximately 40 service members per square mile seized.
These findings should concern the Biden administration. Despite cataclysmic casualty counts and Ukraine’s use of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund its military, Vladimir Putin’s army continues to make territorial gains. Furthermore, the Kremlin claims that almost 440,000 recruits signed military service contracts with its defense ministry between January and December, enough to replace every fallen soldier and then some.
The West’s fight-to-the-death approach is clearly not working. It is time to negotiate a peace settlement. Read more.

Zelensky Says Trump Can Help End the War |
Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday that Donald Trump’s “strong and unpredictable” foreign policy approach could be a decisive factor in ending his country’s yearslong war with Russia. “The ‘hot’ stage of the war can end quite quickly if Trump is strong in his position,” Zelensky said in a televised interview. “I believe [Trump] is strong and unpredictable. I would very much like President Trump’s unpredictability to be directed primarily toward the Russian Federation.”
The president-elect’s approach to ending the war remains to be seen. As usual, he has kept his plans close to the vest. There are many leverage points he could prompt Ukraine to exploit in negotiations, including America’s ability to prevent further NATO expansion, to finally bring peace to Eastern Europe. The Biden administration has long been disinterested in that objective, but America’s new leadership will not be. Thank God for that. Read more.

SOURCES: Biden Considering Bombing Iran |
Late last year, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan reportedly presented Joe Biden with options for an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, providing the lame-duck president with a way to bestow a new needless and destructive war upon the incoming Trump administration. According to numerous sources, Sullivan’s presentation took place during a discussion on "prudent scenario planning" of how the White House could handle its relationship with the hostile Middle Eastern power during the end of Biden's term.
Although there are reportedly currently no active West Wing discussions about possible military action against Iran, sources say the president did not rule out the possibility of a strike. He is either yet to make a final decision or does not remember the meeting.
Some of Washington’s biggest and most influential lobbies would applaud an assault on Iran, but the American people would not. They do not want war. It must not occur. Read more.

New January 6th Pipe Bomb Footage Emerges | The FBI released new footage on Thursday of an unidentified suspect placing pipe bombs outside RNC and DNC offices the night before the January 6th, 2021 election justice protest. Law enforcement does not know the person’s sex and is not certain if they are connected to the following day’s Capitol demonstration. The video shows the suspect placing the first bomb outside the DNC building just before 8 PM and the second in an alley behind the RNC around 15 minutes later. Both Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi were near the DNC office before the first explosive’s recovery.
Given the political establishment’s years of J6 hysteria, investigations, arrests, and prosecutions, it is strange that so little is known about the person who tried to commit an attack that would have turned the so-called “insurrection” into a back-page news story.
Authorities are still offering a $500,000 reward for tips that lead to an arrest. Read more.

Biden Gifts Dick Cheney’s Daughter Presidential Medal |
Joe Biden tarnished the Presidential Citizens Medal’s previously distinguished reputation on Thursday, awarding the honor to notorious war hawk and January 6th propagandist Liz Cheney. During Cheney’s recognition ceremony, the president described the ousted congresswoman and her fellow award recipients as leaders “who served in difficult times with honor, decency, and [to] ensure our democracy delivers." "I think it's pretty damn simple,” he bizarrely added, “Our democracy begins and ends with the duties of citizenship. That's our work for the ages. That's what all of you, and I mean this, all of you embody."
If Biden meant that Cheney worked to “ensure our democracy delivers” death and destruction on a global scale, then he was spot on. She played critical roles in the U.S. government’s criminal interventionist behavior in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Ukraine, causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and the waste of trillions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars. She embodies the very worst of permanent Washington, not “the duties of citizenship.”
Perhaps she wouldn’t be such a radical war hawk if America’s enemies’ guns were trained on her face, not just the faces of our country’s service members while Cheney sits in her luxurious Wyoming abode. Read more.

REPORT: Biden Blew Over $100 Million on DEI |
A newly released report shows that the Biden administration has allocated over 100 million taxpayer dollars to fund DEI and DEI-related programs, awarding grants to more than 900 school districts across 36 states between 2021 and 2024. According to the report, the Biden DOJ spent $45,207,178 on "project proposals that broadly mention restorative practices or social emotional learning," $32,084,529 on "proposals that discuss diversity, equity, or inclusion or explicitly explain how the project is intended to improve outcomes for a specific demographic group" and $19,881,347 on consultants that "often promote divisive concepts such as critical race theory, critical gender theory and queer theory."
If you’re unclear on what “critical gender theory” and “queer theory” are, it’s ok. We share your confusion. We also wonder how Joe Biden would define them if asked in an unscripted forum. Would he say they’re a bunch of malarkey? Read more.

First Family Cashes in on Pricey Gifts from Foreign Leaders |
The Department of State released an annual accounting report earlier this week, exposing Jill and Joe Biden for receiving tens of thousands of dollars worth of lavish gifts from foreign leaders. According to the report, the First Lady received a $20,000 diamond from India’s prime minister, a $14,000 brooch from the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, and a bracelet, brooch, and photograph album worth $4,510 from the president and first lady of Egypt. Her husband, meanwhile, raked in a $7,000 photo album from South Korea’s president, a $3,000 statue from the Mongolian prime minister, and a $3,300 bowl from the sultan of Brunei. The White House wants you to know that the Bidens are absolutely positively not using these gifts for personal gain. They would never do that. Yes, Jill Biden kept the $20,000 diamond, but she did not do so for personal reasons. According to the government, her office is only holding onto it for “official use.” What could that possibly mean? Read more.

On-Duty Postal Worker Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight |
An out-of-control New York woman viciously murdered an on-duty letter carrier on Thursday, knifing her victim in the stomach after he cut her in a deli line. He died shortly thereafter. “The Postal Inspection Service can confirm that on January 2, 2025, a United States Postal Service letter carrier, assigned to Manhattan, was the victim of a homicide,” a USPS spokesperson reportedly said in a statement. “USPIS takes matters involving the safety and well-being of post service employees as a top priority. We are working diligently with the New York State Police Department on this investigation.” Police arrested the suspect, 24-year-old Jaia Cruz, at the scene. She faces a murder charge.
Efforts to make New York safer in 2025 than it was in 2024 are off to a rocky start. The deli line stabbing was at least the city’s third homicide of the year, raising its year-to-date average to over one per day. Time will tell if Kathy Hochul will react by tweeting a self-congratulatory message boasting about how harmonious her state is. Read more.

Capitol Police Arrest Suspect Over “Suspicious Vehicle” |
Capitol police arrested a man on Thursday while investigating a “suspicious vehicle” near Congress. “Before 10 a.m., our officers spotted a car that had been driving along the sidewalk, near Peace Circle, and into the grassy area near Third Street, NW, & Constitution Avenue,” @CapitolPolice wrote on X. ”Officers took the man into custody. Please continue to avoid the area while we investigate the car.”
Hours later, authorities declared the area safe, announcing that the man “was not a threat to the Congress or Capitol Grounds.” He was just a telecommunications employee going to perform work in the area. Law enforcement across the country is rightfully on high alert after multiple deadly truck attacks on New Year’s Day. Read more.

Neighborhood Loses Power after Garbage Truck Gets Stuck in Sinkhole |
Omaha’s 2025 is off to a trashy start. A large portion of the Nebraska city lost power for several hours Thursday after a garbage truck became submerged in a sinkhole in which utility lines were exposed. The hole was more than ten feet deep, causing the truck’s wheels to rise several inches off the ground after the vehicle became stuck.
City and Waste Management officials have differing views on what caused the predicament, and both entities are conducting investigations. Authorities shut off electricity and gas service to the surrounding area after the incident and restored them hours later once the fire department removed the truck. Read more.

The video of a group of New Orleans police officers reacting to Wednesday’s terrorist attack is worth watching. If you haven’t seen it, you can do so HERE. The footage displays the embodiment of fortitude. Rather than respond to the violent assault by freezing or running away, the group of officers immediately sprinted toward the scene, thrusting themselves into harm’s way and unhesitatingly risking their lives in the name of serving others.
Once they arrived, they likely encountered a more dangerous scene than they anticipated. The attack’s perpetrator exited his truck and began shooting at law enforcement directly after bulldozing through his crowd of victims, striking two officers before falling to his unceremonious death. Although there is no indication that the attacker’s bullets killed anyone, they absolutely could have. The men who dropped everything and ran toward the terrorist’s carnage could have never made it out.
They, not Liz Cheney, deserve a White House ceremony. Hopefully they get one.
Anybody can act tough when things are going well. That doesn’t take any heart. Only true heroes have what it takes to show courage during a time of danger. Those cops fit that description. 2025 would be limitless if everyone could act like them.
| January 3, 1959: Alaska joins the Union. The U.S. purchased the land that became The Last Frontier from Russia in 1867 but considered it a district, military district, or territory for the nine subsequent decades. Those in favor of statehood hailed Alaska’s economic potential and the strategic significance of having it as a state during the Cold War. Opponents feared that its low population would not generate sufficient tax revenue, effectively making Alaska a welfare state. Congress passed the Alaska Statehood Act in 1958, and President Eisenhower signed it into law shortly thereafter. |
