John --

On Tuesday, Governor Mike Dunleavy bullied the University of Alaska into signing an agreement that slashes their operating budget by $70 million over the next three years. He did this without the legislature or listening to the people of Alaska, who overwhelmingly oppose these cuts.

As the father of college students and recent grads, I know how important a college education can be and how cost-prohibitive higher education is for many Alaskans. I also want to build an Alaska that gives all our children an opportunity to pursue an education, start a good-paying career, and raise a family of their own right here.

Dunleavy's cuts will only make it harder for our young people to stay here.

I'm running for the U.S. Senate to fight for you and your family. I won't let politicians -- in Washington, D.C. or here in Alaska -- bully you on behalf of the special interests.

Dan Sullivan has made it clear he won't stand up to Dunleavy's attacks on public education or his push to approve the Pebble Mine, which will be an environmental and economic disaster for Alaska.

I will.

If you're with me to take on politicians like Mike Dunleavy, Dan Sullivan, and Mitch McConnell who all too often push around working folks to reward special interests, then please chip in $5 or more to our campaign today.
