Earlier this month, David Schweikert publicly bragged about his high rating (97 percent in 2019) from the American Conservative Union (ACU) -- a D.C. special interest group whose recent advocacy causes include repealing the Affordable Care Act, defunding Planned Parenthood, and cutting Social Security.

Here are some of the votes Schweikert made last year that contributed to his "excellent" rating from the ACU:

• Voting against a bipartisan bill that would lower prescription drug costs for over 678,500 people in AZ-06
• Voting against H.R.1 -- a landmark reform bill that would reduce the influence of dark money in politics, end partisan gerrymandering, and restore key voting rights protections
• Voting to express support for the United States' reckless withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement
• Voting to cut funding for the Environmental Protection Agency
• Voting against a bill to restore Net Neutrality and ensure that all our communities have reliable broadband access

When Schweikert trumpets his ACU rating, those are the extreme and out-of-touch votes he's celebrating.

It's clear that his priorities are not with the people of AZ-06. We need to expose his record in full and give them a clear choice in November.
