California – The Senate Health Committee approved a bill to prohibit the sale of all flavored tobacco products and tobacco product flavor enhancers. The bill now moves to the Senate Appropriations Committee for consideration.

Minnesota – Gov. Walz signed into law a bill to raise the minimum legal age to purchase tobacco products to 21.

Oakland, California – The city council passed an ordinance to eliminate the tobacco store exemption from the city’s ban on the sale of flavored tobacco products.

Oklahoma – The state legislature gave final approval to send to the ballot a measure that seeks to reduce the amount of settlement funds going to the state’s Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust from 75% to 25%.
