Happy Holidays from Freedom Network USA! We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well this holiday season.

Unfortunately, this is not the reality for everyone. While many of us have the luxury of paid time off, fair wages to afford holiday gifts for our family, and freedom to travel to visit our loved ones, some people are at the mercy of abusive and manipulative traffickers.

Horrific working conditions are unacceptable. All workers deserve access to water, breaks from the sun, and fair wages. This should be the bare minimum standard in a workplace. Unfortunately, labor trafficking survivors often experience these gruesome conditions, in addition to violence, threats, and manipulation from their traffickers. It is critical that we improve worker protections instead of rolling them back.

Under the previous Trump Administration, the Department of Labor was banned from supporting trafficking survivors in accessing safety. When survivors reached out for help, they were told to turn a blind eye, or to just call law enforcement instead. Survivors were left in exploitative conditions by government officials who knew what was happening.

FNUSA will fight to make sure that the Department of Labor keeps protecting survivors, not traffickers.

But we can't do it alone. We need YOU to show up for the community.
