Graphic showing that we are 50% to our call goal for Janeese.

Dear Comrade,

Mail-in voting has begun for the D.C. Democratic primary election, and we have just 12 DAYS until Election Day on June 2.

Our chapter-endorsed candidate for the Ward 4 D.C. Council seat, Janeese Lewis George, stands with working people in the fight for a more equitable D.C. We will be phone banking (and holding live call trainings) for Janeese every day from now through the election.

You can sign up to start making calls at bit.ly/janeese or join the #janeese-call-team and #janeese-wg channels in Slack.

In the past few months, Metro D.C. DSA members have already had conversations with thousands of Ward 4 voters, and we have made the most calls of any other endorsing organization for three weeks in a row! Just one call shift will help us reach our goal of making 5,000 calls before the election.

Electing Janeese would help shift the balance of power on the D.C. Council to workers, tenants, and everyday people, which is why Janeese is facing mounting attacks from the press and her billionaire-backed opponent. The best way we can respond to these smears is by talking to voters, describing our vision for a more just D.C. for all, and winning this election.

You can sign up for a phone bank training and to make calls for Janeese today. Together, we can build a D.C. for the many, and not the few.

In Solidarity,

Metro D.C. DSA

P.S. If you are a registered voter in D.C., don’t forget that the deadline to request a mail-in ballot is rapidly approaching. All requests must be received by the D.C. Board of Elections by May 26. You can request your ballot online or download the Vote 4 DC phone app.
